Community Standards

Gaybnb Travel Hub exists to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive travel community for Gay travelers and allies. These Community Standards outline the behavior we expect from everyone who uses our Platform — guests, hosts, travel buddies, and community contributors. By using our Platform, you agree to uphold these standards.

1. Our Mission

We believe travel should be a liberating experience for everyone, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion, age, disability, or national origin. Our Platform exists to connect people with safe, welcoming spaces and to foster genuine human connections. These standards exist to protect that mission.

2. Respect and Inclusion

Discrimination, harassment, or exclusion based on sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, sex, race, ethnicity, religion, age, disability, body type, or any other protected characteristic is strictly prohibited. This applies to listings, reviews, messages, profile content, and all interactions on the Platform.

• Do not post derogatory, hateful, or demeaning content about any group or individual.
• Do not refuse a booking based on a guest's identity.
• Do not use slurs, stereotypes, or coded language that targets marginalized groups.
• Treat every member of the community with dignity and respect.

3. Safety and Trust

Safety is the foundation of our community. We invest in identity verification through AutoHost and Truvi, but no system is perfect. We rely on every member to act responsibly:

• Complete identity verification when prompted — it strengthens the community for everyone.
• Never share your account credentials or verification documents with others.
• Report any suspicious, unsafe, or abusive behavior through our reporting tools immediately.
• Respect the physical and emotional boundaries of those you meet through the Platform.
• Do not carry weapons, illegal substances, or hazardous materials to any booking or community meetup.

4. Travel Buddy Conduct

The Travel Buddy matching feature is designed to help Gay travelers connect with like-minded companions. It is a privilege, not a dating service. When using this feature:

• Prioritize clear, honest communication about your travel plans, expectations, and boundaries.
• Do not use the feature for solicitation, sexual harassment, or predatory behavior.
• Respect another user's decision not to connect or continue a conversation.
• Meet in public spaces first and share your itinerary with someone you trust.
• Report any user who makes you feel unsafe or violated the community trust.

5. Honest Listings and Reviews

Trust depends on accuracy. Hosts must represent their properties truthfully — including photos, amenities, location, and house rules. Guests must submit honest reviews based on genuine experiences only. We do not tolerate:

• False, misleading, or exaggerated property descriptions.
• Edited or stock photos that misrepresent the actual accommodation.
• Retaliatory reviews or reviews submitted in exchange for payment or favors.
• Reviews submitted without having completed a genuine booking.

6. Privacy and Consent

Respecting privacy is part of respecting people. You must not:

• Collect, store, or share another user's personal information without their explicit consent.
• Photograph or record another person in a private accommodation without their knowledge.
• Use a booking or community connection to harvest data for commercial or malicious purposes.

7. No Tolerance for Exploitation

We have zero tolerance for any form of exploitation on the Platform, including but not limited to human trafficking, sex work solicitation, child exploitation, or forced labor. Any account associated with these activities will be permanently banned and reported to the appropriate authorities.

8. Prohibited Content

You must not post or upload content that includes:

• Violence, threats, or incitement to harm.
• Nudity or sexually explicit material in public-facing listing or profile photos.
• Hate speech or symbols associated with hate groups.
• Illegal goods, services, or activities.
• Spam, phishing links, or unauthorized advertising.

9. Host Responsibilities to the Community

Hosts are the backbone of our community. In addition to maintaining safe, clean, and accurately described properties, hosts must:

• Honor confirmed bookings and the cancellation policy they selected.
• Provide a welcoming environment free from discrimination.
• Maintain working smoke detectors, secure locks, and clearly communicated emergency exits.
• Respond to guest messages within a reasonable timeframe.
• Respect guest privacy — including no hidden cameras in private spaces.

10. Reporting and Enforcement

If you encounter behavior that violates these standards, please report it through the reporting tools on the relevant page or contact us directly at support@gaybnbtravel.com. We review every report and may take action including warnings, content removal, booking cancellation, or permanent account suspension. We do not retaliate against good-faith reporters.

11. Consequences of Violations

Violations of these Community Standards may result in:

• Removal of the violating content or listing.
• Temporary suspension of account features.
• Permanent ban from the Platform.
• Forfeiture of any pending payouts for hosts found in serious violation.
• Referral to law enforcement where a violation involves illegal activity.
